Free Money Management Program for Easthampton Seniors (Ages 60+)
Valley CDC will be offering "Stretching Your Dollar!", a free, 3-part money management program for Easthampton seniors (age 60+). The series will be held Mondays, 9/20, 9/27 and 10/4. 12:30 to 2:30 pm.at the Easthampton Council on Aging/Enrichment Center, 19 Union St., Easthampton.Topics include Free Local Resources, Your Rights as a Consumer, Dealing with Creditors and Budgets That Can Work for You. Free, confidential follow up sessions are available when the workshops are completed. Each workshop will include free snacks and participants attending all 3 workshops will be entered into a free drawing to receive a $50 gift card from Big E Foodland. Assistance for Easthampton Residents and Home Buyers
Easthampton residents are now eligible for free community programs offered by the Valley CDC. First Time Homebuyers can receive pre-purchase counseling, and income eligible buyers can apply for $15,000 mortgage subsidies and $4,000 down payment/closing cost grants if purchasing homes in Easthampton. Current homeowners can receive free Foreclosure Prevention and Post Purchase Counseling.
