State Primary - Tuesday, Sept. 14th:  The deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation for the Sept. 14th State Primary is Wed., August 25th.  The City Clerk's Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. that day.  

ABSENTEE BALLOTS for all three parties are now available.  You may vote by absentee ballot if you are physically unable to go to the polls, will be outside of Easthampton during polling hours or cannot go to the polls because of religious reasons. 

Absentee ballots may be mailed upon written request or voted in person in the City Clerk's Office up until noon on Monday, September 13th.   The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.   Please note, that if you are an Unenrolled (aka independent) voter, you may choose any of the three ballots, but if you are enrolled in a political party, that is the ballot you will be given.

Precincts #1, 2 & 5 vote at White Brook Middle School, 200 Park St. and Precincts #3 & 4 vote at Easthampton High School, 70 Williston Avenue.

2010 Street Listings are now on sale in the City Clerk's Office.  The cost for a 2010 street list is $20.00.  A limited number of 2009 books are available for $10.00.  The remaining 2008 books are now free - first come, first served!

Tag Sales:  Remember that tag sale permits are required in Easthampton.    Permits cost $5.00 for one day, or two days in a row (a weekend).   PLEASE plan ahead, because city offices at 50 Payson Ave. are now CLOSED on Fridays.  Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Tag sale applications can be downloaded below.  Bring the completed form to the City Clerk's Office to receive your permit.  Two sales (total of 4 days) are allowed per year.     >>click here to download garage or tag sale form

2010 DOG LICENSES ARE NOW ON SALE!  It is time to license your dog for 2010 -- you can stop by the City Clerk's office to pick up your license.  Massachusetts General Laws require all dogs over 6 months old to be licensed by March 31st of each year.  You may purchase your dog licenses at the City Clerk's Office.   The cost is $10 for a neutered/spayed dog and $15 for an unspayed/unneutered dog.  Please bring proof of rabies vaccination and spaying/neutering (unless we already have the information on file).

2010 Hunting and Fishing Licenses are NOW ON SALE.   Remember that if you are getting a sporting or hunting license, you'll need to bring in either a prior sporting/hunting license (any year, any state) or a hunter safety course card.


Planning to travel outside the US?  Apply for your passport in the City Clerk's Office!   Effective June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens are now required to present a passport book, passport card or other travel documents approved by the U.S. Government to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and seaports of entry (this is already a requirement for air travel).  For more information, including passport applications, go to www.travel.state.gov or call 529-1460.
